After some searching and researching I picked up a new mig welder.

A local welding place had a pretty good deal on a complete setup so I jumped on it. Its a Hobart welder, which is a basically a Miller welder from what he told me. Sure enough it has a Miller gun with it and the regulator is a Miller as well. It was $200 cheaper than the Miller though.

Heres the pic of the welder, I have a tank of argon in my building waiting.

I am just itching for the weekend so I might have time to start testing it out. K mounts will be otw soon and there will be updated pics of that project :D

Have you ever used a Hobart brand before?
It looks nice. 110 or 220V?

its a 110 welder.

I paid $712 after taxes for it and some extra wire and tips. It also includes the tank i had to buy, but they gave me the gas free for the first fill.

Hobart is going to be cheaper than miller, but its a miller product. It has a 5/3/1 warranty on it. I forget whats covered for how long though. My gun actually has Miller right on it, as does the regulator.
