Hi,

Does anyone know how I can remove the pinstripe from my CRX?
It Seems pretty baked on there.

i used a heat gun and a scraper but i was repainting the whole car anyway. that method did good but did scratch is some places. also with a heat gun you can make the paint bubble if your not careful.

3M makes a pinstripe removal disk..... that will not damage paint if used carefully.... I have used them and they work well...

I just used my fingernail to remove mine. Took awhile. Then washed my car to get rid of the difference in shades, mostly because my car was dirty.

If the pinstripe has been on there for a long time, you will still see where it was after you remove it. The paint under the pinstripe has been protected from the elements, whereas the rest of your paint will have faded a bit from the sun and been exposed to the elements. What colour is your paint? It will be more noticeable with some colours than others. For example, red paint fades faster than any other colour.

and red pinstriping leaves pink lines behind on a white car... im gonna go over mine with black stripes... or so i keep telling myself

get out the rubbing compound and hit it with a buffer where you took the sripes off.. . . .relly helps to blend in that harsh line where the stripes werewhile you are at it. ... .hit the rest of the car too and give it a good wax... you will behappy with theresults after ou get all the crap off andremove all of the small scratchesand blemishes. .. .
