This is my first Rex, and ever since Ive had the car Ive NEVER been able to open the cargo box...Ive got a brand new honda key and the orginal. Neither works.

Yesterday I found out when I was cleaning the car, that the box itself isnt mounted...well if it was it came loose. Because I sat on it to clean the back of my seats and well it poped and I ended up sliding backwards... :? Now I dont think its the original box.

Anyway is there anyway to get this thing open?

heh, thats kinda funny. Have any friends with civics? i dont know how good of an idea this is... but Honda didnt use that many different keys, you could give one of thiers a shot. (or it could get stuck)

but, mine is kinda loose too. im pretty sure the plastic clips broke or maybe the hole around the screws ripped out

edit- or you could take it to a locksmith...

Heh...

I remembered I had had Lowes make me a spare key for my car that didnt work so well, So I tried it and it works....works rather well for not being able to open the passenger side door or hatch. (Thats why I had a honda dealership make me a key according to the VIN)...

Funny thing is that our door locks are so worn now that ANY honda key might open your driver side door.
