So its about time to replace the brakes on my Si and I was looking for rundown on the pros and cons of different types of braken pads and disks. Anyone have any thoughts? I was think about getting some porcelian pads to alleviate dust, but couldnt really find any material on them.

Porcelain discs? I've heard of ceramic. I haven't seen any to fit a CRX though.

Some new blanks and Hawk HPS (or similar) pads will do you just fine. I went with slotted rotors, since I wanted a more aggressive look and didn't want cross-drilled. I don't pretend they make me stop faster.

Yeah I'm back. I got deployed yet again, and just got back before christmas. I come home to find internet down, and T-com is taking their sweet time turning it back on.
