Is there any difference with the 89 fenders compared with the 90-91's? I'm looking to get new ones and just want to make sure first.

the main difference is how the corner light attaches to the fender... There are plastic clips which can be swaped between the years... So I've heard

other then that the fenders are interchangeable(sp)?

The actual metal of the fenders are identical. The difference is in the side moldings and the corner lens clips. So you have to get the moldings and lens clips for the year you have. But yes they are interchangable.
