So I recently bought new shocks and springs and am working on installing the rear sets. After soaking the damper mounting bolts in PB Blaster and hammering on a box end, I got the bastards loose :D

Now, I'm following the instructions from the CRX Workshop Manual and the 5th step of "Damper Removal" states simply"Lower the lower arms and remove the damper assembly".

So my question is, how do I lower the lower arms so that I can remove the damper assembly?

there should be 1 bolt that goes through the bottom of the control arm and 2 smaller ones that hold it together above the knuckle

I guess I posted too quickly since all it took was looking a little harder at the diagrams... In the meantime, I merely unbolted the LCA at the bolt below the damper bolt. Took a little wiggling to get the damper assembly out but it worked great. I rented some spring compressors and pulled the springs and damper mounting hardware off the old dampers. No sweat!

Thanks for the reply :)
