make sure you solder the connections, and use heat shrink.... or if you cant solder, use heat shrink butt connectors.

electrical tape/marettes dont cut it. you dont want to hit a big puddle and stall your car.

i spent a good 5 hours doing this swap in my old rex, and that was to ensure all the wires were where they should be. take your time, it will save you the headache of finding out where you screwed up or paying someone else to.
