Hey guys! We all know that the CRX is prone to rust on the rear quarter panels. CRX's actually rust from the inside out. There's a spot behind the rear quarter panel where the water pools on the inside of the vehicle and it slowly rusts it's way through to the outside of the vehicle. As many of you may already know, the majority of this water comes from the clip hole for the quarter window trim. Over time, water slowly leaks through this hole and ends up behind the quarter panel. However, that is not the only way that water gets there.
Here is my question, if I am repairing the rear quarters with new metal, should I make a small drain hole to allow moisture to escape from behind the panels? I would coat all of the metal (inside and out) with POR-15. Ideas?
