well on my way to my friends house this morning i somehow found my self off the road and facing the direction i had just come from........how u might ask??.......well i live on a backroad and although it is paved they put down gravel in the turns so that the gravel will get packed down and fill in the potholes......well apparently they put down some fresh gravel last night because i can usually take the turn at around 40 with no worry at all, this morning i was going 30-35 mph and about half way through the turn i noticed my backend was starting to kick around.......instead of braking real hard and haveing it just spin around even faster i let off the gas and cranked the wheel to the right and tried my best to keep the car on the road.........well i sort of kept it on the road.........the crx did a complete 180 and my driver side tires were both on the edge of the road and the passenger side was off, no damage and there were no other cars or anyone to scare the crap out of.......so i put my car in gear and drove off with nothing more than a little scare.........and as dumb as i know it is to say this.......i have to admit it was fun as hell haha

I had a similar thing happen to me a couple years ago, just after applying tire shine. I guess I got too much on the tread and the outside rear tire let loose. Admittedly I was pushing the limit around a curve on a secluded road. Fortunately I just slid into some tall grass and no one was around to see it happen!

Ever since then I'm super careful about applying tire shine to only the sidewall, and I'll take it easy for a few miles to make sure there's no loss of traction.

yeah i went into some tall grass and there was no one around too haha........car seems to handle just fine so nothing got nocked out of place or flat spotted the tires

Same thing happen to me about a month ago, expect my was getting off the highway with jersey walls all around. I had just put on my winter tires and found out that they dont grip as well as my summer ones. Came around this corner that i normal do about 40 around and the back end just let loose. Ended up doing a 270 turn facing the wall (bearly any room to turn). I then did a 6 point turn to try to get me the rest of the way around before driving off. Got home and check the car, A minor scrach on the bumber. After being a bit upset that i now had a scrach on my car, i thought about and said, "that was fun, but lets not let it happen again!"
