We tried to put some DA seats in the HF today, but I couldn't figure out how to get the rails apart. Tomorrow we're picking up some Del Slo seats from the junkyard, in much better condition (and IMHO much better than) the DA seats. Has anybody swapped these in without swapping the pans?

My best friend swapped in del sol seats. He changed the internals of the seats to make them work in his 91 dx. If the pans mean the internals then thats what he did. First hand experience is that they are horrible. The bucket feel is completely lost and the seats are rock hard. I don't know anything about not switching the internals out but if not I know that the seats are horrible once its done....

I've driven an EF with a Sol seat, and it was pretty good (autocross fun run). It is stiffer, but it holds the driver well, and they are good for skinny people (which the owner of the car is).

Well, it caame with EG seats, not bolted in all the way. His roommate did it while we were putting the motor in, I think the Sol inner rails, mated to the EG outers, all but the front door side bolt went in, and that part needed to be welded. Unfortunately, the seat sat pretty far forward when it was all the way back. That was fine with me, but the owner of this CRX is a bit taller than I am and likes the seat back more. I guess we will end up pan swapping.
