Has anyone on here ever used a shipping company to move their car around the US? I am trying to get my car moved from Ohio to North Carolina, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a reputable or somewhat fair-priced company. Let me know...

i looked into it one time but thats as far as i went. i think i found a link from autotrader.com to a decent company.
Be prepared to pay atleast a grand.
i wanted to buy a mint crx from washington state about a year ago and was quoted $800. and about 2 weeks, faster if i wanted to pay more.
When Mark Williamson was thinking about buying my 91 tg, He got a price of about $1000 I think.

That was from New Jersey to Idaho. I don't think it would cost that much just from Ohio to NC.
$1000 seems high for that short a distance. I sent a 2001 Accord Coupe from BC to Ontario for about $1200 CAD. If I had to drive it, would have been about 50 hours.
Well, I have been looking around for the last couple of days. An uncovered trailer is normally around $500, and an enclosed trailer is $800-$1400. I think I am just going for the uncovered, and hopefully putting a cover on it...

You don't want to put a cover on a car that is being hauled on an open trailer. Due to the wind, the cover will be constantly moving and it will damage the paint. Ohio to NC isn't a long drive, so an open trailer should be fine.

Hmm, I didn't even think about that. I guess you are right...
