Unless it was just a hoax, at one time someone (allegedly) put a 454cid in the rear of a rex then left the stock engine up front to power the front wheels. It was 4 wheel drive with 2 power sources.

The back wheels would walk up on the front because of power difference or if they were really really good with electronics they might have got it to work out.... but unlikely in my mind

They'd only run one engine at a time. Use the stock motor to drive to the track, then fire up the small block when it was time to race. Probably used it to silence a few domestic guys too.

the stock engine was also used to power the big block's cooling system.

The stock pedals fliped out of the way to use the rear engine.

This was in a first gen
