They are similar to MAKE Magazine's site and even have some of the same projects...

and the reason for that is that the projects on Make link to the instructables site.

check this out i was look at the movie "Childern of Men" there's a scene af some sick music w/a scream. i looking for it so i can make it to my ringtone. but found out it wasn't on song. it was a song a APHEX TWIN song w/a guy screaming over it. and it list the web site of the scream. so i went to it. it was the greastest site i've ever been own. you ppl who are in to making music/musican should look it up. you can download tons of sound wave. so then i got an idea to upload the sound waves into my phone as ringtones. lol. here's the web page:
