Sience i did my rebuild, my speedometer hasnt worked. I took everything off there and everythings connected, it is getting power i think. i'm not sure if i disconnected anything on the trans or wherever. Everything else on the guages workes. If you think it might just be dead tell me cuz i need a new guage cluster anyway because my temp needel broke off. I just want a speedometer in the mean time.

Tiersin:
The crx speedo isnt electronic its mechanical(unless you've swapped in a newer civic one that runs off of a VSS)
Anyhow check to see that the cable is fully secured into the trans(near the firewall side, behind the throttle body)
Follow the cable as it exits the firewall and look down where it connects into the trans.Give the cable a tug and see if its seated all the way.
If the cable pulls out then it needs to be secured back into the trans(lol man that sounded dumb after I wrote that) DUH!
Also if the cable has come loose from the cluster it will do the same thing.
Basically the cable is your mechanical link from the trans to the cluster and if its not seated or worse broken the speedo will not function.
Hope my ramblings helped...

Can they break? i wouldnt think that it would be something that would be under to much stress. I'll check it though. I'm glad its not electrical though, i hate working with elecronics. I though that cable was just for the odohmeter(spelling?).
