Any stock crx is OBD0, or pre-OBD. The most popular thing to do is to convert to OBD1 because they can be tuned and chipped through the ecu using aftermarket software. From my understanding you con't do as much tuning with the OBD2 setups. However, if you want to not convert, you could use the stock OBD2 ecu but you will need to keep the wiring from the car donating the engine.

Check out rywire.com they will modify your existing engine harness to run any engine. You will have to send them your existing harness and the harness off the new engine. They can make it so that it's entirely plug and play. Some would say they're pricey, but they're guaranteed to work and you don't have to do any wiring yourself.

For a SOHC ZC all you would have to do is an MPFI swap. Again, you can get the wiring through rywire, but it's probably simple enough to do yourself. You may have to buy an injector resistor box and some other small parts. I don't know every detail about it, but a search should turn something up.

just use the stock obd0 harness and find a PW0 (obd0 b16)ecu and distrubitor

or what you can do is keep the obd0 engine harness and swap in the motor, then get a conversion harness (obd0-obd1) and either run a p30 (given you wire up the knock sensor) or just a chipped p28 with p30specs

manditory wires you will need to run would be vtec solenoid and vtec oil pressure. for obd1 you will have to repin the distrubitor as well as run the optional 4wire o2 sensor
