Its 3:30am, and the cops are filling out the paper work. A drunk driver hit my 88HF and ran it into my friends 99 civic. No less than 30 mins ago.

Im shaking, Im pissed, My friends civic looks to be fixable, but my HF pretty much got its nose bit, my rad is busted and leaking everywhere. Ive got a ton of pics alrdy and they caught the woman that jumped the hill she had to go over just to even get to our cars.

Ill have pics ina little while, but this sucks for me and my best friend, I was/am sopposed to pic up a d15b mini vtec from doitdub this weekend.
Im not sure I can even drive my car at this point...

The only thing I hate more than a careless driver is a drunk careless driver, but that's pretty much all of them. Hope she gets what comin' to her.

****, sorry, the cars were parked and I was up in a room getting rdy to goto sleep. This was at the Econo Lodge that my friend manages. My friend called me and said "Someone hit our cars...."

I RAN downstairs too see my friend speeding off after the driver in his G/fs car, it was a VW Passat that hit the cars.

I have a **** load of pics, just the batteries died and I cant pull the pics off the camera without them.

My rex got it bad, but it wasnt my rad that busted just the windshield washer fluid tank, LOL I over reacted after what happened to my 89 Si...

I *think* my car is okay minus fenders, bumper, bumper support, lights,corners, tire......ehhh Maybe not okay but fixable I hope.

My friends 99 civic with a Xeneon kit has a damaged fender, door, sideskirt.....the door wont even open right as my car hit the lower hinge of his door.

Im really sorry for the messed up post but its now 4am, and Im not in the best of moods....

From the first post I got the mental image of your car being rear-ended and pushed into your friend's car. I'm glad that's not the case, since a serious rear-end collision is usually the end of a CRX's life. Based on the pictures it looks like both cars can be repaired without too much trouble. Here's to you getting back on the road soon!

+1 I thought the same exact thing, and I was waiting to see major terrible carnage to that end. Hopefully everything's fixable and if not you can sue her for damages. Small claims cut in Maryland is $5000, so you've got that going for you if its the same. Too bad you weren't in the car though, legal representation + "back pain" = bank in large claims with shady doctors. (SiR from Canada registered on the grey market kind of money ) Good luck!

The thing is, most insurance companies WON'T bother putting the money to fix the car. The car has about 2000$ of damage if the front is fixed/repainted. The book value of the car is much lower then that (my car has zero value, or under 1000$, with my government). Odds are if you go thru insurance they will trash the car.

That's why you don't go through insurance, or you falsify a claim and get less money than is necessary so you don't screw up your title but you can still retain a good working car and get insurance to work like it should.

At least thats what it seems like, theres tire tracks going all the way up the hill and then the asphalt has a major gash where she landed.

Well, messed up thing is I actualy have all the parts I need minus a clean bumper cover, I have 90 Si headlights, corners, and I have 2 fenders that will work...But I REALLY apprecaite the offer. I might take you up on the bumper cover if your willing to part with it, $$ for you? :wink:

I still have to get ahold of my insurance company before I can do anything yet.

I need to pull the bumper out from under my car to double check it.. I think its in good shape though. (don't worry, the car is a foot or more in the air so its not crushed, lol)

Well apparently I cant get a copy of the police report for a couple of days, So I dont even have her insurance information. All I have is liability, so Im turning it in on her insurance.

Oh and Mark, last night, a guy who was also intoxicated wreck and flipped his car 3 times less than 5 miles from here.... What the hell?

My friend said it was a young girl (maybe younger), about our age that caused all this BS.
