Hmmm no hf harness.. i need to see what is diffrent between the two.rex2nr said:hmmm, the ECU will swap without modding, so, I would assume the engine harness is the same. Electronically, the engine is the same... same injectors; same alternator; sensors are the same, just in different locations; the distributor would be the only thing I can see being different, and that would just be the hf and si plugs.
Thats my guess, I don't remember what we did when we did the same swap on a friend's car. If I remember correctly though, the only wiring change was to swap the distributor, and we used his HF harness.
Sorry, I guess I was unclear. I think the only change we needed to make was to the hf harness to accept the Si distributor, so as long as you use the Si distributor, you should be ok. I think that change was just a repinning. Now you have me wondering.... it may have been a DX harness in there, which would make sence as to the distributor change.Rene M said:Hmmm no hf harness.. i need to see what is diffrent between the two.rex2nr said:hmmm, the ECU will swap without modding, so, I would assume the engine harness is the same. Who said that? Give them a swift kick... The resistor pack doesn't have a ground - only power in and out to each of the injectors. Most of the engine management stuff (including the ECU) grounds to the thermostat housing.Rene M said:" the one which supply's ground to the resistor pack"
