Hey Everyone,
I just bought my CRX two weeks ago. The gentleman I got it from had the temp gauge disconnected (from the block). He said that if I were to plug it in and turn the car on, the gauge would immediately spike to red... even if the car has been sitting there overnight or longer. He replaced the thermostat on it, and it kept doing it, so he replaced it again just to be sure, but the problem persisted.
Could the problem be the gauge? or could it be the wiring between the thermostat and the gauge arcing?
Let me know if anyone has had similar problems. I tried searching but it didn't appear that anything like this is in this forum.
