ok the housing that came with my d16 doesn't cleare my trans......... is there a difference in the housing that bolts onto the actually block part on the hf and the si?

They are the same... how is it hitting the tranny?

ok you know the 2 sides that have clearance holes right? the other threaded hole is hitting the trans

Is it pushed all the way into the water pump side?

ya i am pretty sure i double checked everything,

when i was putting the trans on it woudn't go down all the way, i checked it and the threaded hole thing was sitting inside the clearance for the trans.......

OH! I can see in the pic you have an 88 weirdo tranny, that's the problem :lol:

I just went out to look at mine and it's too dark, can't find my flashlight, but I'll look before I go to work tomorrow and let you know during the day.

That third hole should be on top, towards the firewall side of the housing
