After accident (all front end damage)

wondering what everyone thinks, im still unsure in what direction i want to go with the car. i love the fact that it gets great gas milege as a hf but would like it to have more power but i can deal. im deffinately going to fix the front end damage and probably paint it black but im wondering if i should go with oem parts or kit it. but i guess im just looking for general thoughts and suggestions.

OEM Parts!

There are basically no tasteful aftermarket body kits, and none of them fit as well as stock pieces. Well, maybe Mugen, but that's not really an option. Have you considered an SiR front end?

The paint still looks really good. Do you not like Rio Red? It's beautiful. I see too many black CRX's... probably because they're all primered with no paint at all.

As for an engine, how about a D15B with the 3-stage VTEC? They are quite frugal on gas at lower rpms, but have nice top-end.

i have actually been looking at the SiR front end i think it looks a whole lot better than stock and better than most kits (mugen excluded) and as for color its not that i dont like it.. i just have bad luck with red cars and there is alot of maintnance to keep the paint looking good i wax it at least twice a month. if i dont get gets really dull looking and looks really sad although i really like the crx in white too...

Replace it with OEM parts.
Put a 1990 bumper on it. That will be a good upgrade, cosmetically.
If you feel generous, get one of those fibreglass passworkJDM lips. They're nice.

When you have the parts painted, have them clearcoat the hood and the roof. That will help -ALOT-.
Reason HF and DX'es fade is because honda cheaped out, and didn't use any clearcoat on them at all. Just a cheap single stage paint.

And for gods sake... DROP IT!

Your front end damage doesnt appear too bad, I hit a deer with my rex and it came out having a few more dents in the hood than yours does..

As for paint, I think you absolutely shouldnt change the color. First of all that is one of the nicest red CRXs Ive seen in a while despite the damage. Secondly, I think theres nothing worse than seeing what appears to be a nice silver or black car, until the owner pops the hood and you see a red engine bay, or red door jams or a red cargo compartment. Seti120 has the right idea, just get the rest of the car cleared the same time you get your front end fixed
