Finally we got a working cluster on the red car (marty's). We're getting a code for TPS, the one on there is from a DX dpfi manifold because the mpfi mani didn't have anything on it. Do we need to rewire or something for it? I do noticethe sensor comes out at a different angle, that might have something to do with it.

Um... The DPFI sensor turns in the opposite direction, doesn't it?

i now that the 2 outer wires are switched on the dpfi one vs the mpfi ones.... i know on the mpfi swap you have to change them around.... not sure if you could just switch them and get it to work or weather you would need to get a mpfi one.... . but if you did not switch the wires around. . . i would try that first...

The -wires- are reversed on the plug, but the physical movement of the sensor is also different. So, for it to work right, you have to swap the wires around on the plug, and plug it into an MPFI sensor.

A dx sensor will bolt up,But it won't allow the throttle butterfly to be opened
because it is designed to operate in the opposite direction...

The only application the DX TPS will work on
is the DPFI throttle body..
