Turbo Question Again

i posted on another thread about putting a turbo on my jdm d15b and i got some great advice from the community members about putting the first gen eclipse turbo the 14b on it but i was thinking that im building my b18a1 block w/b16 head LS VTEC and i want to take it a step further would the 14b turbo make a great addition to this monster that im creating :twisted: or should i just do LS VTEC or LS VTEC TURBO what do you guys think

I guess a good starting question would be what kind of budget are we talking about?
We can get all giddy and talk about fantastic setups,but the real question is How much do you have as a budget?

i was thinking around the budget you told me on your turbo set up that you pm'd me a nice simple set up

Well depends you power goals. I have a b16 being stroked and bore to a 2.19L using a GT4097R turbo.

How much do u want to spend?

How much power you looking to push?

Well if thats the mindset.I'll assume that you have a 1K budget then?
That being said your on a tight budget my friend.
Can you give all of us a definitive idea of the money? 1K or more?

If your maxed at 1K then you will need to do a good portion of the work yourself.I'm not saying its impossible to do a respectible setup for under 1K,but you'll need to be creative. :wink:

Also...Have you checked out this site?...http://www.homemadeturbo.com/
They are a good site for DIY boosted setups.
