Hey all think I found a car I want to get. It's about 1000km away so I was thinking of driving there renting a tow dolly from U-haul and then just towing it back home. However given that the car is a 1984 was going to ask if you think it will damage the car to tow it like this?

BTW a tow dolly is a like mini trailer that just lifts the front tires of the car off the ground.

Hmmm... Sounds familiar... :)

I used a tow dolly several times to get my '87 CRX Si around. I blew it up about 75 miles from home, towed it home, worked on it some, towed it 35 miles from there to a shop I was renting, worked on it some more, towed it back down to my house, and so on. And yes, on one of those trips I *DID* have the parking brake engaged. Probably going to need new rear brake shoes now.
