Nonsense. People are nothing more than fancy animals. Let them roam free and they'll rape, pillage, burn. (we invented fire, you know)
Ye, of little faith. Out instincts are peaceful, its this great mind of ours that concieves of mass destruction and domination.

atleast I'm gonna have fun, I hope....
That's what it's all about man. I just graduated a year ago...and man what a great feeling. I do miss it though...the real world really isn't all that cool.

Oh and FYI, the key to getting a good job after college isn't the degree. It's the experience you have along with the degree. Take time and do internships/co-ops and you'll be more prepared, on top of knowing what you're getting yourself into.

Yeah thats one of the reasons I chose to do industrial design at UC because they have a required co-op program so I really only have 2 yrs of actual class and 2 yrs of work experience. Starting next year I alternate between the co-op and class every quarter.

it's just an AAS for now in criminal justice; final gpa 3.36...

Come join our team in Wyoming. We start out all our Deputies and Detention Officers at $20.15 or $42,000 a year. Personally starting out in the jail is a great place! You get to know people, when you know people it makes the job out on the street easier. Also if you're interested in probation our department is always hiring, along with DFS. Not sure what they pay though. Here is a link to our Departments website. We're testing the first of January.

Mark, i would like to be a probation officer because it is an easier way of trying to get people back onto the right track of life before they go to prison/jail. i can see being a parole officer being a bit more stressful/depressing than probation however...

i recently took my civil service exam for prob. off. assistant; hoping i can get my foot into the door and see if it is fully for me (plus $16/hour helps too). ;)

i would like to become an police office, but i dont think my night vision can cut it, truthfully. it sucks that i inherited my grandmother's eyes, it has nothing but hindered me my entire life...

blackbird, thanks for the link, info and help, but i dont think i could move to WY...im a ny kinda guy...

Communication skills are 9/10 of it, the other 1/10 is your experience and a piece of paper that allows employeers to rank you higher than others.

All people are selfish and wish to better themselves. The majority are docile because they do not wish to take on the risk of retaliation. Some weigh risks differently and act accordingly, to better themselves.
