With your proximity to Canada, that sounds like a good place to start.
Have a Canadian friend import it, register/license it and drive it across the border for you. Then figure out how to make it legal here. There is the easy and restrictive "showcar" registration but who wants a car that has a limited mileage/time duration? I've heard you can register it as a kit car but there is insurance to worry about...again, I've heard kit cars are more expensive to insure. Or there's always the option to do some, ahem, creative VIN management.

Get a cheap-o CRX and swap VIN plates. Then just get rid of the cheap-o rex. I am sure there is more involved than just this. Just make the government happy. Don't want to go to jail for some rediculous crime like driving a car that isn't worthy of driving on our roads. The right hand drive issue may be hard to get around.

If you register it in NH, you don't need a title, and I'm pretty sure you can have it as a kit car too. There's a guy in the next town from me that has a Porsche 959, and he's had it for a while, I know those are hard to import (if you can even find them). Any vehicle 15 years or older doesn't need a title in NH, when I bought my CRX, the guy gave me the title, and when I went to get plates, they took it from me.

Oh man, that was my favorite car for a while when I was a kid. I'd love to see one of those in person. But I'm pretty sure I never will, at least in the states.

GETTING THE CAR INTO THE COUNTRY:
To get it into the Country you can do one of the following:
A. Take it through customs. This route, you'll have to have it seized and taken to a RI, unless you use fraudulent paper work or labels from another Canadian CRX.
B. Have it shipped. I do not know for sure if this will work, as most shipments into the US face US customs inspections.
C.Part Out the car, and bring it/ship it in piece by piece to be reassembled.
D.Have a Canadian drive it into the country, and mail you the paperwork. If you do this, they MUST mail the paper work and say their just visiting, or the car will be seized. If any paperwork other then the vehicle registration and insurance proof are in the car, it will be held up.

occasionally Honda-Tech is good for something:
