I agree that we need a rule to state that discussions about street racing are not welcome here.

This is sure to be a heated subject. Most other forums I've been on, it's accepted by the rules to talk about street racing. But then everybody steps in to flog the poster. We all know how immature street racing is, but I would have a hard time forbidding the discussion of it. We are here to help people and educate them. Forbidding the discussion is not very educating. How about "highly discouraging" it? I don't really know where I stand on this. We need to discuss the issue.

I see what you mean by promoting educational discussions about street racing. ie: If you don't talk to your kids about something, how will they ever know that it's wrong? You make a very valid argument, and I agree with you.

However, we do need to draw the line somewhere. At the very least, we need to state somewhere that we do not condone street racing or promote it on our forum.

Members should not use our forums as a means to promote or organize street racing events. In fact, we could go as far to say that our forums are not to be used for the facilitation of any illegal activity.

i personally think its just stupid, and that too many innocent people get hurt.

i dont care about public opinion one way or another...

smoke pot do it at home.
smoke crack do it at home.
drink drano do it at home.

if you want to endanger others lives, thats where the line is.

im not perfect, i do dumb things, i have driven after a couple drinks.
wish i hadn't, and in the last couple months i gave my keys to my roomie to hide them.

but honestly if you dont endorse drinking and driving, dont endorse street racing.

Absolutely! Without question, any posts trying to promote or organize illegal activity, including street racing will be deleted (or at least locked). And then they'll be schooled.

And in no way whatsoever will we ever endorse street racing. It is extremely dumb.

to the forum title and change it to "track racing"
