I was loking at a few pics and people have mentioned VW and BMW as possible sources for some wheels that fit the CRX. What all cars have the 4x100, and is there somewhere online that has a list?

Yes, some v dubs and bmws do, I am not sure on what models, but I used to rock a set of bmw wheels on my rex, they looked pretty nice.

dont forget proper offsets. old RWD corollas had 4x100 but totally different offsets.

and lugnuts. 1st gen MR2 had 4x100 too, but used weird lugnuts.

What offset do we want, 40mm?

Correct offset will depend on the width of the wheel.
For instance, a 7" wide wheel with +40 offset will have the same outer clearance as a 6.5" wheel with a +34 offset, but the 6.5" wheel will have more inner clearance (12mm more)

Miata wheels will work too, but need to be bored out a couple of millimeters to 56.1mm. Looks good and only weighs 12.5lbs. I've got a set in the garage waiting to be bored out and painted. Lots of imports and domestics "economy cars with 4-lugs" come with the famous 4x100 pattern..

But its centerbore that will get you.. miata's and toyota's (90-2002 corolla's) have a 54.1 centerbore too small for our crx's,

our centerbores are 56.1...

They E30 BMWs have 4x100. e30 is the late 80s early 90s 3-series. Also Scion xb have 4x100

older 1980-84 bmw's have those SEXY basketweaves 13x6 I think with a good size lip/offset I think ET is 18... 4x100 with same centerbore..

Or get some enkei 92's in 13" they are rare to find (I have some hehehehe)..

Scion xb's DO have 4x100 but with a 54.1 centerbore they will not fit the crx (stock/factory xb wheels that is)..

Here are some of those old school BMW wheels, granted it is on a 5th gen, but you get the idea.

Here's a 4g hatch with Miata rims on it. In order to get these to fit, the Miata rim must be bored out to fit the Civic hub.

Is there a company that makes something like this in the states? Converts the 4x100 to 5x114.3...now my CRX and 240 can share wheels....I wish

They have these for 4x100 to 4x114.3 also. They work on the Honda Fit, so if the centerbore for the Fit is the same it should be a bolt on solution 8)
