no one wants to throw me some numbers? lol
i know that all too well. the general concensus from honda-tech is in the 5k range. thats about what i was thinking. im not looking to sell just yet though, just looking to get it priced. if i still have it in a year, it will get more suspension work, more brake work, jdm front end, all rust and dents fixed, and then repainted red, but not paint the trim or anything. probably get all new trim from honda or something too. those are my plans for now and i know it'll be at least a year before i can make it all a reality. and THEN it will be time to rebuild the engine and build for all motor power! again only IF i still have the car and WAY down the road, lol.stickershop said:I haven't got a clue, man. That's a nice swap you have in there. Along with all the other upgrades you'd probably be able to get a couple thousand over the book value. You can never get back the money you put into it.
was there a point to all that? maybe i missed it. im not trying to be an a$$ but im confused as to what you are trying to say...crxsitogo said:my car was stolen, and recovered by me withing a few hours. i have theft on the insurance, and since everything was found, it was basically used to be put back together and get a few dings off. insurance doesn't like to cover aftermarket, even though sometimes it's less expensive that what oem is, (look at the oem price of a teardrop wheel-ha!)
anyway, you can always get your car appraised, which most insurance companies accept. i'm sure there will be a added cost and as to how much-i don't know.
one of the questions my adjuster or the agent handling my claim asked me was what i thought the car was worth. i let him know that, it's blue book value, given the condition it was in, (i gave him dealer retail directly from kbb and edmunds) was a certain amount-then I let him know that STREET value was a little more (estimating a little high of course). i gave him figures of what a vehicle like mine would sell locally and on the web, such as ebay. i also told him offers that i received recently (not for sale, but people leave notes on my windshield all the time)
