I have a transmission that desperately needs the 2nd gear synchro. I know that Honda doesn't offer the gears or transmission parts individually anymore, instead you have to buy the entire shaft gear set for about $$300!! all i need is the synchro for 2nd gear. Does anyone know where I can get new synchros?

I know nothing about this place (found on google) but it looks like they might have a synchro kit for $115: http://www.drivetrain.com/hondamaualtransmission.html

Please do post if you find a good source for syncros ... that's on my long list of things to do.

Tranny shop. Only go with OEM synchros, save yourself the hassle.

i would also consider getting a shift for or two.

more often than not i bend a fork that makes its grind before its the syncro ring. now if the fork has been bent for some time and you have been grinding it alot then im sure the syncro ring is showing some were
