since im getting my car painted soon, i want to change all my weather stripping from the hatch, glass back, rear windows, to the windsheild. the only thing im not getting is the sunroof, since im going with a CF plug.

i was wondering if there were any stores online that sold those parts. and if not, if i could somehow ghetto rig a part from another model to fit mine (90si).

lol. the only honda dealership here is closing real soon, so they dont really have that much parts (or cars) to sell. would they still cary it though for our cars?

Without the trim around the sunroof you are looking at about $500 for all the factory trim and rubber. This includes the front windshield, driver and passenger side, both rear quarters, and all the hatch trim and rubber. You might be able to save some $$$ by reusing some existing pieces.

I doubt any Honda dealer would have it in stock, but every one of them is linked up with Honda's warehouse network. They can get it in a matter of days.

It is likely cheaper to buy the things you need through Majestic Honda, even with the shipping charges. Local dealers like to charge full price unless you know the parts guy.

buy them online from honda. I bought the new quarter glass trim last year when i got mine painted. Well worth it. Plus the curves, especially that piece cant be duplicated with generic weatherstripping very well.

another option is that SoftSeal is now making weatherstriping for imports. I know they were a trusted name in the domestic car area, not sure how it translates over to imports.

where do you live that a honda dealership is actually closing? buick i could understand ..but never a honda dealer.
