Which ECU for use with B20Z/CRVTEC?

I already have a P28 ECU tucked away, but it is unchipped. What would be the best setup for a B20Z or CRVTEC setup? I want something that will give me proper fuel maps so I won't fail our strict emissions tests in my province.

Also, another question along the same lines... If I get a B20Z, it will have a knock sensor. How will I get around that with a different ECU? Is it something that I *must* hookup? Or is it necessary at all?

gotta give more info. what obd? you gonna upgrade the internals? or just slap a vtec head on the b20z block? what head are you gonna use?

and id keep the knock sensor, just because. a lot of people do away with them, but IMO just keep it. most vtec ecu's look for a knock sensor and if you dont have one you'll throw a cel.
OBD1 and upgrade the internals (ie: sleeve, rods, pistons). I'm planning to run it as a plain B20Z until I can afford the VTEC head.

Eventually I'm going to slap a VTEC head on it. I'm looking at a putting either a GSR or ITR head on it...depending on which one I can afford. :p

Eventually I'm going to slap a VTEC head on it. I'm not sure which one yet. Some people say that the 1st gen B16 head is the best. I need some more information before I make that decision.
well then it looks like youre gonna have to run a non vtec ecu then. and hith your upgrades, non are gonna have the right fuel maps. your best bet would be somehing like hondata. just something that you can tune the car with. then when you get the vtec head on there, switch to a vtec ecu and use the hondata stuff on it, then re-tune.

it really would be easier to do everything all at once.
Ya, I'm starting to think that maybe I'm going about this a little backwards. Maybe I should save up and get the B18C5 or R-spec and then upgrade the block at a later time.
thats what im doing :D try www.hmotorsonline.com they have the b18c5 udsm and jdm. also different years. ive heard good things about them being reputable.

thats where i bought my B18c from. i would recommend them to anyone.
since you want to go ODB1. then you could run Uberdata. instead of Hondata. it'll save you money. i'm running Uberdata on my B18c. i have everything i need to burn my own chips and all. i just need to get the rest of the things needed to do datalogging with it.
I have a built ls vtec In my crx, with hondata and I've found that a chiped p28 is the best route to go with frank motors.
