yellow headlights

If you want yellow headlights, get yellow bulbs.

I haven't found it useful. Especially with the high quality/high contrast bulbs like Philips, Osram and PIAA

im not for it. i just want to know what use they provide plus aren't they illegal?

I can't see any real advantage of doing this.
Check your local DMV laws, BUT i would guess it would be illegal, one, for the color of light and two, because the light has been modified and no longer complies with DOT standards.

yeah i mean i dont get why every one is doing it. i mean the other day i saw a car with hot pink headlights, couldnt tell what kind of car it was because it was night and the lights were hurting my eyes

There's your answer.

Here in Europe, all front facing lights must be yellow, or white.
Means you can have white indicators as well as yellow headlights.
But that must be done with bulbs. Not modding the headlight.

Old French cars came with yellow lights.

I drove a car with yellow headlights (2000 SiR) and it sucked balls. At night you couldn't see anything at all.

Put it this way. Lighting from a 17 year old car sucks anyways, why would you dim it further more by making it yellow?

Some people do it to be more JDM, but it only makes them look like wankers.

Don't any of you know that yellow and amber are the official JDM colors.........y0!

i cant wait till the jdm phase is over. i could never see myself spending that much money to basically make my headlighs and blikers a little bit longer. so basically the yellow lights is just to be "cool"adn serves no purposee. thanks guys for all your inputs

I have yellow bulbs in my SiR, I like them cause no one has them around here, and they were ALOT better on the highway for me than my old bulbs. They really reflect objects, such as animals eyes.

mine are yellow..but i think its cause i have to change it soon

Put in decent white bulbs and be amazed.

One of mine was amber.

But then I cleaned out the rust.

the funny things is that everyone things that yellow light are "y0 jdm tight". but the fact of the reason why they're used is to prevent glare. the yellow light acualy help elimate the glare from the light which bounce of surface. let me link you up, and i do understand how much of dicks ppl can be. for starters the paint is: krylon stained glass yellow paint #9024.

Smoking to much crack? Honda-tech is plenty helpful, and almost everything has been covered over 10 times. Thing is it's not worth posting on there due to the level of intelligence most 06-07 users have. HT went sour after the summer of 06 I found.

no not another honda-tech? yeah i understand it. they are pricks there. but i will say this it's very informative. i've seen alot of injust things there. and it's a 50/50 balance. i really didn't started posting there till i knew what i was going to ask and search everywhere. and still then they tried to be stuck up or don't know the answer. which bring me to being a forum whore joiner. no matter what they'll always be an answer for your question. it just will take a little longer to answer. i hope i was able to help you w/the info.

as for me i bought a set of yellow lights 9005, 9006 and APC JDM style fog lights for my rex. the JDM lights are way to over price in my opinion. i really didn't want to have the glass painted in yellow due to my rex colour is burgandy stock colour.

Yellow is for the fog lights on the JDM models, anti glare as mentioned above. Someone prolly did it to their headlights on a magazine feature vehicle and it became all the rage y0!
