That's too bad!
I've ordered 3 bars from them before, but that was back in 2010, had no issues whatsoever, they were great.

Have you actually tried contacting the company directly, to get a reply?
Ask them if they still have products available for sale?
Ask them about the lack of response from them to their customers?
They are a small business, maybe the Pandemic hit them hard and they have not recovered?

Most of all, don't send PayPal payment as "Friends and family" to someone you don't know, as I see at least one person did, because you lose recourse and protection from PayPal. Payment made via CC or regular PayPal payment, these people should have gotten their money back.

Yes, I've been in contact, although I'm a bit weary. We will see if they ask me to send "Friends and Family" at which point I will stop right there.

I can afford to lose $255 (though I'd rather not) so I'll give them a try and report back one way or another.

My buddy just had a 3-point front bar made for his H23 swapped CRX. Took probably around 5 months give or take, after several promised ship dates had passed. It does however look amazing, but not for that time frame. This was maybe a month or so ago.

Well unfortunately he wants "Friends and Family" through PayPal or he won't do it so I'm definitely not buying anything from them. I don't know what's going on over there but I'm not putting myself through that. If someone here has one they would like to sell me then great, otherwise I'll have to deal with a lesser 2-point from Cusco.

I don't blame you, I would do the same. No reputable business would ask you to do that.

Why not just add the 4% PayPal fee to your amount and send payment the regular way, this way, you'd have PayPal protection.
But at the same time, they shouldn't ask you to pay that way, they should tack that on to the total amount, so it would be the cost of the bar with shipping + PayPal fees.
This just seems very odd from the experience I had with them so many years ago.

He would do it, but then there was this "3 week hold" before the normal waiting period after adding the 3.4%. I don't have time for that. The autocross season starts in April.

That's stupid and doesn't even make any sense.
I'm sorry to hear that and it's sad that their customer service has gotten shady and poor.
I remember ordering 3 bars from them back in I think it was 2008, and NEVER had this issue with them.
I wonder if the OG owners actually still run it?

It makes sense when you think about the maximum time you're allowed to make a claim with PayPal. There's simply no such thing as a hold for purchases unless you're trying to circumvent buyer protection. As for the original owners, I don't know, but the English in the emails has been questionable at best. With regards to what AttackCRX has been saying, I believe it. 5 months is a lot of aggravation that I'm not willing to put up with.

There is definitely something wrong then, that was NOT my experience AT ALL.
Correspondence was always prompt, there wasn't any issue with broken English in the email and payment was sent via regular PayPal, none of this Friends & Family mess.

I stand corrected, my buddy said it was a 7 month wait, not 5 for his ESP strut bar.
