Rear Window Visor

Postby ArrogantUnicorn » Tue Oct 09, 2012 3:38 pm

I've been looking for a rear window visor to go on the hatch. Anyone know the best place to buy one? I know pwjdm makes a jdm style one, but I'm not sure if the jdm style would fit the usdm model. This place supposedly sells them, but I am not sure of the quality, etc.

http://www.lvracingscene.com/forum/show ... nly-DAPS-..

They are asking I think 80 to 90 for it, while at pwjdm it is 110.

Anyone know of anywhere else that sells these? I like the style of the one in the link I posted best, subtle but aggressive. Thanks!

The reliable source for these has been Summit:

Disclaimer: I've never tried to buy one.

hes not talking about lovers, the rear visor is a glossy plastic.

I wish i could find a pair of cheap louvers:( i just cant justify spending so much on them when that money could be used towards the engine.

This is the rear window visor. You can get them on eBay for around $80/90.
The GTS Solarwing I bought from Summit was dark tinted, but still transparent.

I like my Louver, I suppose in price comparison I'd take a visor if'n I didn't have my louver but I have never had a hatchback with or without a louver, I think its just the coolest thing since power steering.

I got my GTR Solarwing from Summit Racing like 2 years ago. They shipped it real quick. Just make sure you use adhesion promoter and clean the surface really well because it came flying off while I was driving about a year later.

Got a link to the P:JDM one? Normally their stuff is the same stuff you can get elsewhere for less.

From my experience the visor(from Summit Racing) I had looked good but the fitment was bad. The top of the visor(that lines up with the top of the hatch just didn't line up exactly. Even after prepping the glass properly the tape still wanted "become undone". So yes it looked cool but it lasted about 8 months(the tape). it was a PITA to have to check to make sure the tape wasn't separating from the glass everytime before I drove it(don't want it flying off while driving :( !

Visor will have no effect on the view through the rear view mirror.
