hello friends,

Ive got an 88 CRX that i bought as a shell and put a drivetrain in. The computer that was in the car was an OBD0 90-91 manual integra (pr4) so i am guessing it had a B18 at one point. Don't know if that will be important or not, but thought id mention it. I put an OBD1 conversion harness in and a p28 ecu with a d16z6.

All the fuses were missing so i replaced them, but fuse 14 (panel says " Alternator Solenoid Valve") has at least a 10 amp load on it at all times, key in or out. I put a 20 amp fuse in there for minute or so and it doesnt blow, but I couldn't figure out where it was shorting to, so i took it back out.

Can anybody help me out with some schematics or info about what runs to this fuse? Ive been searching through alldata for hours now and i cant seem to find a schematic for this particular fuse. Id be grateful for any help/suggestions.

According to the manual it says fuse 14 under dash is for the Guage & engine sensors circuit. Apparently looking at the schematic, you will have to start disconnecting connectors untill the fues stops blowing, the trace back the wire from the connector that stopped the fuse from blowing to find your open etc.. I hope you are knowledgable in this? This is what we do at Honda to find these "Gremilins" Here is the schematic! Good Luck!! :)b

P.S. page 22 first schematic is Nippon denso alternator and Page 22-1 second schematic is for a Mitsubishi alternator.

We have the 91-95 Acura Legend manual setup as a browsable PDF at acuralegend.org ;)

This fuse 14 is causing me some major headaches. It actually has a ton more leads than just the alternator :( It runs directly to the main relay where it splices off and goes a ton of other places. Its actually powers the pin that supplies the fuel pump with power when the main relay is powered. So far ive removed the gauge cluster and main relay and still blowing the fuse. Ill try engine harness and ECU next but if it still trips guess ill have to pull the dash. ugh.
