I've been lurking around this site for a while just looking at all the great builds and inspirations, and as i have started mine it is far from finished but i'll tell you all my CRX story. Well at first got this crx when i was 15, i worked all summer and saved enough to but me a nice bodied 91 tgp si for $3100. Pictures when i first got it:

Cleaned it up and put on some kyb struts and skunk2 springs and did a photoshoot with my step brothers camaro:

Of course by this time i had my license and immature and thought i was king of the backroads and spun out. No one was hurt except evelyn (my name for her :p ) So i was down a car and needed something to get me around so i picked up a decent hatch:

Never could get it to run right and still missed my crx and had the crx itch very bad, we all know about that. So i sold the red hatch and took my car to a family friend who has a body shop out front of his house and got him to take care of me and cut out the rust on the rear quarter. Fixed the problem of it too, damn sunroof drain tubes!!!!
Fresh out of the paint shop:

Bought some new goodies, i know most of you guys aren't a fan of blow but im keeping an eye on the bushings and put the suspension at the proper height when installing them so they bushings werent under an excessive amount of pressure. also F&F type one coilovers.

got rid of the fart can for a thermal R&D :)b

Install of everything:

Got the side skirts painted and back on, how she sits today:

Plans for the near future:
j's racing front lip
bosch pilot 150 series fog lights
edm wing painted tgp
jdm tailights
and of course enjoying her

Motor runs pretty good knock on wood so routine maitence for the near future and enjoying it, im 18 and on a college budget while trying to do work here and there but she'll get there!
Feedback welcome,
Connor

Well what ever color it is it looks great :)b

As for the upgrades your planing on doing, I would go with a J's replica lip just because the real ones are stupid expensive. Everything else sounds like a good idea!

Your schooling sounds intense lol Good luck with it all.

how do you like the sound of the thermal exhaust
The thermal exhaust was everything i hoped for and more, no ricey sound to it. It's quiet enough at low rpms and has no drone when cruising in 5th but at WOT she screams. Highly reccomended IMO

Damn man i would have liked to take it off your hands! if anyone else has one or you see one on here most definetly let me know! No doubt having some money in the bank is never a bad thing! I've already made big plans for her when i get a job even though im sure they'll change 20 million times till then, the first priority is gettin my own crib without a doubt haha. I plan to have mine forever so hopefully it works out that way

Trust me, having a solid plan is almost not possible, and I'm in the same boat with my CRX. I could only sell it if I saw the right price. The right price is probably something no one would ever offer me though lol

Having a place to store or work on your REX is a great thing, second best to having a true DD so you can take your time with your project.

Hah forsure i've changed my plans so many times and decided i won't start really putting thought into the motor till have the $$$ to back it up. The right price is something i'm sure i'll never see! A garage will be a must and the next whip will hopefully be an evo 8 or 9 then whatever car isn't being worked on will be drove! :)b

looks great man, how do you like the F&F type ones? I was thinking about getting them.
Thanks man. Personally i love them, no complaints from me and there only around $600 shipped from JHP. Definetly work the bucks IMO. The only thing is when your installing them theres no place on it to hold your brake line so you have to fab something up for that, other then that there great!

I like the Evo's I drive friends and I do like the way they handle but I don't like the turbo lag... It's kind of annoying. One of my friends has a FP black on his evo and under 4000 RPM its gutless  but it did make 451WHP

Yeah i know the lag can be a pain but i'll figure it out! I've never personally driven one but im just a fan of the handling and the awd aspect really catch my eye. How did you like driving it?

I love driving stock ones! The response of a stock evo is good, still lag but you get a little less lag out of a Evo8 then a Evo 9 (Evo8's have a smaller turbo). A stock evo will be full spool around 3200-3500RPM and with a good tuner you can have around 360-400 AWHP with very little mods. The steering on then is just like a S2000, and the braking is to good for most drivers, even some with track experience. I'd say get a Evo over an STi any day too :)b
