Love the pics! Very inspirational! :)b

Interesting as I stare at the Wilwood caliper, is that the bleed screw on the outside of the caliper? Never noticed that before...

Got back on Friday from an underway and received my Walbro fuel pump in the mail :)b I had planned to get started on the car Saturday afternoon after Cars and Coffee. I had lunch at BWW with my girlfriend and she went off to work and I got to work on the car.
Started as I did last week by laying out all I had planned on putting back on the car
Image

Since I didn't do the undercoating in the rear yet I had to get it done before putting any of the parts on.
Here's the start of it after I pulled off the rear calipers and K-sport camber arms
(you can also see where the burn marks are from where the precious owner decided to "lower" the car with a torch, and the small rust spot in the rear of the quarter :-x )
Image

After a good scrubbing and rinse I was ready to apply the undercoating, I cleaned up the underside of the spare tire area as well to receive the same treatment
Image

Undercoating applied, I used the 3M brand this time, and it turned out much better than the RustOleum brand I used for the front.

I started assembling the rear trailing arms and got sick, real sick almost instantly :puke: I was in bed for the rest of the night and had duty on Sunday. I'm pretty certain I got food poisoning from the food at BWW
So I'll have to work on the rear suspension a few days after work to get it all together...

Let me know if you're going to want some help this weekend, and I would love to see this thing in person :bounce:
Thanks for the offer, glad I didn't have anyone over with me getting sick so quickly..

Are you planning on painting the bay?
Yes, should be happening real soon 8)

Thank you!
Yes, there are bleed screws on the front and rear, top and bottom of the caliper. Another awesome thing I noticed about the calipers is the pads can be pulled out without pulling off the calipers :)b

Started working on the car after work this evening. I completed the trailing arms before I started on the rest. I had an issue with the ASR not fitting as I thought it should, so before I undercoated the car I massaged the mounting areas with a mallet. It now fits much better as it should :)b I had purchased a set of HardRace adjustable rear toe arms, I also had my OEM's powder coated and new bushings pressed in. For now I've decided to utilize the OEM adjustments built into the chassis and if I need the added adjustment from the HR's I'll use them. I mounted the ASR brace and with it the EG tie bar hardware kit so I could mount my Spoon EG6 tie bar

Tried on the Wilwood rotor

Tried on some new lugs

That's as far as I got for the night, hoping to get the rest done by the end of this weekend.

Everything looks good! So why K sports and not Koni? Also what brand are those UCA? Is it a camber kit?
Thank you! Well when I purchased the K-sports almost 4 years ago I didn't want a pieced coilover setup, I wanted fully threaded shock bodies and got a good deal on the package. I plan to run the K-sports for now and see how I like them, if not I'll go to the trusty Koni/GC combo or maybe a set of Tein coilovers..
The upper control arms are Cusco arms, no adjustblity in them.

ok so don't install too much parts in front then, you'll have to remove them for a complete perfect bay paint!
Oh no, I planned on getting the car to him with minimal on it but able to roll. Ive dealt with my painter for 3 years now so he knows how I keep my cars and my expectations of him. I plan to remove most of the suspensions parts from the front so he can paint easier and not mess up my fresh parts :)b

I love catching up on epic threads !!!
Thanks a lot, glad to have a following on the buildup of this car

I have been using my Teins Super Street for 3 years, they do ride nice and sporty on the street. But for any kind of serious driving, they are too soft. I think my ideal setup is 10kg front and 8kg rear for mixed driving. The SS are 8kg front and 4kg rear.
I would like to know how the ASR bar could benefit my cars handling. hmm...

what size is this asr rear bar? I see 32 on the pic, am I right?

Well you have a good paint guy then, you don't want your newly powdercoated parts to have paint on them!

I started a little later last night and got to working on the brakes. It helps to read the instructions because I found out I had to cut off a tab in the rear of the mount for the caliper to fit properly.
Image

Cut it off and ground it down to not be so jagged
Image

And now the mounting bracket fits!

Also reading on I found out that I need to order E-brake cables from Wilwood :/ The OEM's will not work with the new calipers, Oh well, just need to put them on order and wait... I also found that none of my 15's fit over the rear calipers, even with spacers =( So looks like I'll be on the hunt for a set of 16" SW's
I'll take more pics this weekend for you guys!

Thanks for the input on the Tein's. I think the ASR setup is a better design than the stock location, also looks better in my opinion 8)

It is a 24mm it's stamped EG 24 in the corner. We have the paint thing covered. Suspension will be on the car to get it there, I'll be pulling as much as possible off so there won't be any accidents and once he's done put it back on for the final time :)

That rear job you did with the 3M undercoat came out nice compared to before looks...
Although a little to gray looking for my liking. As I prefer black... Or am I wrong and that's just the camera lighting?
Thanks, it looks fresh now with it all done, it isnt real dark but not noticeable when the car is on the ground. A part of it could be the photo editing as well, I like to lighten up the shadows to show the detail of everything else.

I started off this morning by giving the CRX a quick cleaning, mostly the wheels since I haven't washed them since I purchased them
I pulled the rear bumper and taped off a few holes on the car, I'll be taking the car to a shop to get a little work done and don't need any water inside.

I started pulling as much as possible out of the bay and pulling the dash to pull the rest of whats in the bay.
And look what came in the mail :)b

Thanks Dani, more to come man! Cant wait to get more together on this!

Nice! Someday I want to try those Spoon collars!!

Ok so 24mm is okay, I think 32 is overkill for the CRX... I have a 23mm type-r one (not installed, need to purchase ASR reinforcement)

Continuing on with pulling out the dash and components underneath to clear the engine bay. There is so much under there, its taking up a good amount of room in the garage now haha. I unbolted as much as possible from the engine bay, took out the front brake lines and prop valve. Once everything on the firewall was cleared out I pulled the harnesses in the cabin, taped up the holes, and got to cleaning in the bay. Here are the results...

Crazy how close the powder coated parts color is to the cars original color.

Possibly a few more updates this week, we'll see what shows up...

Those rigid collars are interesting, but I'd like to find a cheaper route.
I tried a cheaper route with EG BLOX collar kit, but they don't match up at all to the holes on the subframe. I also didn't know that Spoon made a collar kit until the day I received the BLOX kit in the mail :( So I bought the Spoon one being that they are designed for the EF chassis.

I hear they help out quite a bit, I wouldn't know because I haven't driven this car but with all the new and refreshed components plus these, the car should fee nice and tight :)b
32mm would be ridiculous haha, I believe ASR makes a larger size for the rear, but I figured the 24mm will do just fine.
