Hey man props for getting the crx with a b18a1..
Its like me whenever i got my first crx, it had altezzas, exhaust coming out the the other end. 17 stupid inch rims.
black "carbon fiber looking" clear corner lights. Spend all my money on a freakin optima battery, when really i didnt need it.
Spend my money on all of the wrong places..
Now my current project is de- ricing this rex i just bought, u posted on my thread, so id figure il help you out too..
but i do have a question that for some reason i cannot get my head around,
HOW THE CRAP DO YOU POST UP DIRECT PICS?
I went on photobucket, copied the html code and put it in between the image brackets, nothing.
again i did the same thing, but this time copied the IMG code on photobucket, nothing.
So I'm stuck with the stupid posting pics up, idk how this happened since ive been uploading and downloading things since i was a lil kid haha.. its driving me crazy i cant figure out this simple thing...
sorry to thread jack a lil though.

p.s. yeah, if you want to turn better, loose the 17 and get some alloys, 15 inch..
they are lighter, and you can turn better, you really dont get that much performance unless you are drag racing.
bigger rims only work better on a straight way, and from the looks of it, yours arent performance 17 in, or alloys.
good job though, on working on your own car, thats how you learn..

Oh, thanks man...
Yea I figured it out yesterday, I felt dumb, I was trying to do it all complicated, but didnt notice the obvious, thanks anyways...
As for ricer project you have in mind... go on craigslist, some one is always ricing a crx and getting rid of their old stock parts.. worked for me.

I've got a set of 13" wheels that don't look too bad. Dealer option OEM Honda wheels. I'm not sure if they fit over Si brakes or not, I've never had an opportunity to try. They don't work with integra brakes, but the Si brakes are smaller. They're fairly light and tires are cheap, though there aren't too many choices for sticky tires. They make a good daily wheel. Let me know if you're interested.
Jw, did honda ever make any Si alloys, or just alloys, in 15in?
Because, I dont mind going 14's but 15's will give me perfect balance on height and driveability..
(sorry for threadjack)

EDIT: OEM honda, not just any alloys, im trying to go for the stock look, without 14 in. just 15 alloys honda wheels..

For our CRX's, largest is 14". Many newer Civics and Integras have 15" wheels available that would fit our cars. There are a lot of choices from the Integras, and the 99/00 Civic Si wheels are 15" and were also on certain year Civic EX's.
yea sorry for not searching, before... I found out a guy is selling some 99/00 si wheels, and he might be willing to trade for the ones i got on right now... if I do get them, i'll post them up on my thread, but yea, sorry for not searchin before askin, but thanks anyways man..

if that guy is a photographer, then wow,, i guess i'm way passed a photographer :p
haha jk, i've been getting into photography, and ppl ask me to take pics, and i say, i only take pics of my car haha..
get a half rad from craigslist, they work fine, i had the same setup when i was running my b18b

So u want to slam it and want that hellagay, but u want to correct camber? Ur contradicting urself.. If u want less performance, less handling, worst ride feel.. All the negatives.. Then yes s2 and slammed is a good option, just make sure u put some loctite on those threads..

If you want zero camber then you can't be "slammed". There is only so much you can lower before they start peeping out. Yes you can correct it but only if you have enough room. There comes a time where you'll be so low you are either going to sit on your fenders or have you wheels popping out. I haven't seen a car that is slammed with the correct camber.
Unless you are speaking of track camber, which is around -2

so you want to be like this?

read what people post just in the 1st page.
If you want it for looks go for it man. To a point, imo i think it looks cool but i would never do that to my car. Not to mention all the wheel bearings, and suspension parts you would replace often, but the ride quality and handling goes down significantly that that's why i think it just looks good for pictures. Talk to someone who has their car slammed, you'll see how some of them say, they've gone through headers, exhausts, bearings, oil pans, bottoming out (can't drive it like a regular car).
It comes down to the point of what you want to do...
-Are you going to drive it daily
-are you going to take it to the track?
-or will it be just a car to take to the meets and get all the fanboys rattled up?

bottom line, you asked me if it was a bad idea? Here it is, do your research, talk to ppl who have slammed cars or have had them slammed, look at all the pros and cons. NOTE: yes buying suspension parts that can take that abuse requires some good money.
:)b

What i would do: spend money wisely on OE or OEM suspension parts or even some nice well-known aftermarket parts. Then save money to slowly build up your engine.

Nice did u do the whole kit or separate?
From what I see its cheaper to get everything individually since u don't end up using lots of stuff where poly is non-applicable
If you did.. do u mind saying how much...
I had the same issue with one hx wheel.. when I tried balancing it, I think ended up putting 2lbs worth of weights lol

Idk if you ever looked at my build man..
but I ended up with a 500hp reliable block for super cheap..
i'll break it down..
machine work
block 250
head 60
pistons 140
rods 300
rings 40
bearings 110
oil pump 107

misc/gaskets/etc like 200

that's around $1200 for almost a fully built block that I won't have to worry about..

so if you have a little time, save up the money and go that route.. i'll try to give you links and tips for finding those parts..

btw they were all high quality, no ebay crap
