winter is on the way, gotta get a space heater so i can put in some work, which also means that im going to have to use all that snow time to have parts stockpiled!!!

 

well, im gonna see if i can get some 2-3" thick foam from work, im thinking ill get the glass removed from the car, finish removing the rear suspension, and flip it on its side so i can work on the underbody. b b b should be interesting

 

That is weird, my clutch pedal has a very different construction, it mounts to the other side (nut is on the right side) and uses a different type of spring action. Never knew there were to versions of the pedal assembly. Anyway your bushes fit fine.

 

as far as i know theres a few version for the usdm crx, you being in Europe (if i so remember) it is probably different.

My good friends father actually flips his derby cars on there side using couch cushions, on big garbage pickup day plenty of people throw out couches with good foam on them and hes got about 10 vinyl/leather ones he puts in a 5X2 pattern to lay it on.... but hey if you got a free foam hookup :blabla:

 

the foam we have is 6-7 feet by 4 feet by 2-3 inches thick. I was gonna ask how much a sheet costs.

I knew there was a reason I was collecting those! lol good tidbit.

 

an 80"X108"X3" sheet of foam is around 100 dollars, so ill finish stripping the rear suspension off, get the glass removed, and put the girl on her side and start stripping the underbody!!!

 

Really like what you're doing here with the car! Brings back recent memories. I just finished my build and did a lot of very similar things. Mine is also kind of a resto/mod type of build too. A good mix of OEM and fab to make it cleaner, mainly in the bay. Keep it up!!

 

today i cleaned out the garage, and painted my washer tank with SEM Trim Black, gonna get a label and change up the cap a bit for my water meth tank.

no pics right now, gotta scrub sticky soda out of my camera lens :rolleyes1:

 

ok painted the bottle.

gonna think of a color for the cap, most likely red.

and here is the label i will have to cover the cap, and clearcoat it on
(actually having a hard time finding a 2"x2" label with a UN 1230)

honestly i think thats THE best trim paint i have aver used, its still holding up beautifully on the wing with no fading whatsoever.

I could have sworn I've seen it on the shelves locally at one of the various parts stores...

 

paint shops maybe. but i dont believe ive ever sen it at an advanced or napa

 

trying to get back on track, its cold but i need to get to work if i want to get this ready for N21

ordered 2 3" wire knotted brushes, these should easily tear through all that undercoat and paint in the front wheel wells.

 

Slight Update.

Got a new job and made a huge move. im living in the Wilkes Barre/Scranton area. The car has been shipped off to my fathers for sandblast, seal, bodywork, and paint.

other than that im looking at a cbr600f4i. and im hoping to report regularly and get this thread going.
