nope it is on my crx but im running a y7 block with a 1.5 non vtec head on the stock pm6. but it seems like its got a little more pep in its step. i especally like the whistling it does sure does piss my neighbors off they called the cops twice in one night haha

you do not need to be a dent there...it shouldnt rub the firewall..i have a thicker intake manifold gasket now ( a p2r thermal one) and i dont have problems..its very tight...but it fits
 
yeah well i used the old iacv on the s2 im and its a little bigger than the obd1 iacvs so thats what might be causing the issue. even when i had one of the newer iacv it was still pretty close. close enough when i hit the throttle it would contact the firewall. i used the stock gasket btw but really i dont think its too serious of an issue
 
im starting my swap today.Did you guys rewire for mpfi or just put the new mani on?
 
i just put mine on i got a si im already wired for mpfi. heres some pics if ya want some closer ones let me know. like where all the hoses go and **** ill post em up too if you need them

heres where the iacv hits the firewall its not much it doesnt look like it hits in the pic but it vibrates when its running and you can hear it but its not bad

i powdercoated the intake too storm gray and total all i spent on the whole im and parts was under 100 bucks :biggrin:
 
I wanna install my Skunk2 mani but i dont wanna have any idle problems with mine.I dont want the idle to be high or whatever.I have EVERYTHING need it for the install.Mine would go into my A6 tho.Importcustomx are you still having problems with the idle?

no idle issue, I solved that with with intake manifold gasket. Skunk2 manifold is not responsible for an idle issue..it was my fault during the install

and i show where all the hoses go in my how to...clearly labeled.
 
What hardware do you use to connect the 92-95 fuel rail to the skunk2 mani?
I have all the parts but im missing hardware :?
 
all you need for the 92-95 fuel rail is your crx injectors or whatever injectors your using, the 3 10mm bolts that hold the fuel rail on and the fpr off the fuel rail you took off and thats it. but i used fuel hose coming to the fuel rail off a 92-95 as well cause the stock one i had with the 92-95 fuel rail leaked for some reason, but switched the hoses and had no problem after that :)b
 
import i am using a im for a 92-95 its not one specificaly for the crx maybe they are a little shorter for a crx? not sure but the guy i bought mine from had on a 92-95 civic. i wonder if they are diffrent?
 
I dont think a dx has a fuel rail but autozone will kno wut i need.I cant put the TB on without it being open a lil.are you supposed to mod ur 92-95 TB? cus the thing that holds the cable is hitting the mani.
 
yeah you will have to switch to mpfi and you have to get a throttle cable bracket from a 92-95 as well but you have to bend it a little. thats what i had to do to mine. the only mods i did to the tb was remove the fast idle thing on the bottom of the tb and filled the holes with jb weld and it worked pretty good. i know if you go to the skunk2 website it list all the items needed as well as here.

I have all the parts I need including 92-95 civic stuff.What im asking is if you guys had to bend,sand etc the part on the TB that holds the throttle cable cause i cant bolt it on the mani unless i want my TB to be open all the time.
I will take pics and post tommorrow if needed.
 
your talking about the throttle cable bracket that bolts to the intake with 2 10mm bolts correct? i used the one off 92-95 civic im and yes i had to bend mine a little cause it held the throttle open and wouldnt let it close all the way. you might need a si throttle cable but not really sure as how i didnt have to swap to mpfi

So i got the mani and TB on but now the white sensor(i think its the iat) wont go in the new mani cus the hole is threaded and on the old mani its not. :?
